Through this course, we will try to cover everything you need to get started with data visualization using python. To maximise your learning during this short offering, the course is split into 2 parts :
- Online Preparatory Notes
- Face-to-Face (F2F) Workshop Material
You will have to complete all the required activities in the preparatory section before you will be granted access to the F2F workshop material. This is to ensure that you all become aware of the fundamental principles of data visualization before we progress towards creating those visualisations. We believe that in order to successfully achieve the learning outcome set out for this course and to have an effective face-to-face session, your feedback is very important.
Therefore, we have introduced an annotation tool/feature in this platform that will allow you to underline, highlight, take notes, and summarise sections of the content as you read through the learning material. We have also included an online support (Help feature) within the annotation system. This is to give you an opportunity to ask questions and receive personalised feedback from Instructors within the learning context.
The preparatory learning material has been accumulated to give you the fundamental understanding of the topic and may not be perfect. Thus, we would like you to help us improve the material further by highlighting/tagging sections you may find interesting or confusing, and report components and code segments which might have errors or is not running on you machine. Also feel free to use the annotation feature as a discussion tool to respond to other student’s issues. (This will all make more sense once you start using the learning material.)
We will notify as soon as the modules are activated for you.
